Two Week Countdown

Only two weeks to go until we begin shooting The Misguided. Everything seems to be in place, too. Over the next two weeks, I will be meeting with the talent, conducting final preparation with Co-Producer Kenneth Matthews and Production Manager Art Smith, and reviewing with Director Chris Seligmiller. I really feel good about everything at this point, and I can't wait to get on set!

It's amazing how this entire production has come together. We have an amazing team - both cast and crew! I am already anxious and excited about what this film could achieve. But for now, I need to stay focused on the task at hand. The shoot starts in two weeks; I am counting the minutes!

Production Update: "Untitled"

The feature film "Untitled" has officially moved into Pre-Production. We had a production meeting last night, and everything is taking shape! Our current schedule has us shooting during January, 2006. With the production team we have on board, I feel very confident about it all.

We are all very anxious at this point and we can't wait to get on set. Writer/Director Philip Bache has an incredible vision for film, and I am excited to see him in action.

We will be casting for "Untitled" on November 5th at Full Sail in Orlando. For more information about the casting, check out the listing on GreenRoom Orlando. Hope to see you there!

Back In The Game

After a brief hiatus from auditioning, I got back into the game today. Most of my time lately has been dedicated toward producing The Misguided and Untitled, but today I made time to be in front of the camera as well - auditioning for two films associated with UCF. Hopefully I will get the opportunity to act again soon. Stay tuned...

Rounding Out The Cast

The cast for The Misguided is now finalized, with actor Randy Molnar and actress Melissa Gruver coming on board to play two of the lead roles. In addition, actor Tyler Ross has agreed to play our final supporting role. Along with actresses Marnee McClellan and Shauna Bartel, this is an extremely talented cast! Please visit The Misguided website for more info from director Chris Seligmiller.

Production Update: "The Misguided"

We completed another production meeting for The Misguided tonight, and things are really taking shape. We have a tentative shooting schedule for mid-November, and Art Smith is working on the shot breakdowns.

Shauna Bartel has signed onto the project to play the role of Marion, and will appear opposite Marnee McClellan on screen. I am very excited to have Shauna on board and I am looking forward to watching her in action.

Co-Producer Kenny Matthews is working hard behind the scenes to make sure everything else comes together (like props, wardrobe, makeup, craft services, etc). I truly don't know where this project would be without him on board.

More to come! Stay tuned...

Rewrite Complete for "The Misguided"

Chris Seligmiller has completed the rewrite for The Misguided, and it is better than ever. It has been a long road to get to this point, but I feel it was worth it after reading the new script.

Our next step will be to take the new script and create a shot list and solidify any production needs. In addition, we will be finalizing our cast over the next couple of weeks. Our current schedule has us shooting beginning on November 12th. I feel very confident about keeping our schedule this time around. Stay tuned...

The Joy of Producing

One of my producer friends told me that he's never been involved in a production where he wasn't seconds away from blowing his brains out. "The gun is always at your head," he told me. "You just need to make it through each day without pulling the trigger." Now, of course that is a bit over-dramatic, but the sentiment is there.

We held a production meeting yesterday for The Misguided, and my head is still spinning. The goal of yesterday's meeting was to complete shot production and scheduling. However, it ended up as a re-visit to the script, and by the end of the day we had managed to put the script into a complete re-write. So, in order to accommodate the added time, we moved the shooting dates back to mid-November.

I do feel better after yesterday's meeting, though. There is much about producing that I am still learning, and the process is a great experience. And I feel that we will have a superior product when we are finished. The hard part is adapting to all the changes along the way without losing momentum. And, of course, not pulling the trigger!
